ANKARA (capital of Turkey)
The city is located in the Anatolian highlands and is framed by a hilly mountain landscape. The reservoirs around the city serve not only as a water supply but also as local recreation areas. The main artery of the city is Atatürk Boulevard. The five-kilometre-long main axis, lined with rows of trees, connects the heart of the old town (Ulus Meydani) with the new town in the south. It is the main traffic artery, main commercial street and at the same time the main street every evening between Lozan Meydani and Ismet Inönü Meydani.
